Animals bumping into humans (or human interventions) - do they not have as much agency (except for in Crittercam-esque cases) as we do in a given encounter? Are they the experts of the landscape while we are the amateurs?

Non-humans can choose whether or not to have the encounter - running away vs/ staying (not as applicable to plants though...)
